According to Reuters and CBS on the 8th, the pro Palestinian group "Palestine Action" vandalized President Trump's Tanbury Golf Resort in Scotland with graffiti to protest his plan to "clear" Gaza. 鈥
Reuters reported that pictures released by local media on the 8th showed that the golf course and walls of the resort were damaged, with the words "Gaza is not for sale" sprayed on the lawn of the course. The walls of the course buildings were also covered with red spray painted words such as "Free Gaza" and "Free Palestine". In response, the "Palestine Action" acknowledged responsibility on social media platform X, stating, "Trump is trying to treat Gaza like he treats his own private property, and he should also know that his private property is within our reach
CBS  The Scottish police said they had received a report on the destruction of the golf course in the early morning of the 8th. The investigation is still ongoing and no one has been arrested. 鈥
On January 25, 2025, Trump first proposed the idea of "emptying" the Gaza Strip, stating that he hoped Egypt and Jordan would receive and "temporarily" or "permanently" settle Palestinians in the Gaza Strip. The Arab League, as well as countries such as Egypt and Jordan, immediately expressed strong opposition. Egyptian President Sisi stated that he "can never tolerate or allow" the expulsion of Palestinians, and "the solution to the (Gaza) problem is a two-state solution, which is to establish a Palestinian state, not to drive the Palestinian people out of their land." After Egypt and Jordan refused to cooperate on the US "clearance" and "takeover" of Gaza plan, US President Trump said in an interview on February 21 that he "suggested" but not "forced" the implementation of the plan. The New York Times reported that Trump seems to have abandoned this plan.
